You only need a small amount of detergent to clean your stone surface, otherwise, excessive concentration will leave a film on the stone surface and can cause streaks.  Always use a clean mop for floors and a soft cloth for surfaces, such as vanity tops and countertops. Avoid using ammonia solution, because over time it will leave surfaces dull.

Knowing what type of stain has occurred on a surface will be helpful when it comes to the removal of the stain. Stains can be anything from oil-based, metallic, organic-based, paint, or acid-based. Normally stains can be removed with some cleaning, but if you cannot remove the stain then you can call us, and we will remove the stain for you after we identify what type of stain it is. Basic care is required for your stone surfaces, so we recommend that you wipe down surfaces every day, and especially after using the surfaces especially in the kitchen and bathroom.  Blot spills immediately to try and avoid stains. Vanity tops in bathrooms need to be wiped and dried every day. Never use materials that will scratch your surfaces.

When stone is used in your home, it needs to be sealed when it is installed. Sealant helps to protect your surface from most stains, scratches, and damage.
